I spent over two decades untangling myself from the grip of childhood abuse, trauma, chronic illness, and the spiritual disconnection that came with it all. Western medicine tried to “fix” me with pills, procedures, and diagnoses that only deepened my despair. ECT (electroconvulsive therapy), pharmaceuticals, hospitalizations, band-aids upon band-aids… and still, the pain remained.
